How to take care of your lawn?

January

  • Let your lawn hibernate at rest

February

  • Depending on the weather, let your lawn rest for some more time

March

  • If necessary, mow the lawn at the end of March
  • Start the fight against moss
  • Level up the surface
  • Aerate the lawn
  • Add some combined fertilizer
  • If you want to set up a new lawn, get rid of the old one

April

  • The most suitable time for sowing a new lawn
  • Start with regular fertilization, preferably after each mowing
  • Mow the grass, but do not cut more than two-thirds of the leaf surface
  • Take the mown grass to the compost heap
  • If there is moss, this is an ideal time for its containment
  • Sow a regenerating grass mixture on sparse and levelled-up spots
  • Aerate the lawn
  • This is still a suitable time for getting rid of an old lawn

May

  • Still a suitable time for sowing a new lawn
  • Mow the grass, but do not cut more than two-thirds of the leaf surface
  • Take the mown grass to the compost heap
  • If the grass is dry, start watering it
  • If there are weeds (daisies, dandelions and other dicotyledonous weeds) – ideal time to fight them
  • If this had not finished earlier, finish sowing on scarce spots

June

  • Add fertilizer regularly, preferably after each mowing
  • Mow the grass, but do not cut more than two-thirds of the leaf surface
  • Take the mown grass to the compost heap
  • Do not forget watering, preferably in the mornings or evenings, to pervent excessive evaporation
  • If there are weeds (daisies, dandelions and other dicotyledonous weeds) – start fighting them

July

  • Add fertilizer regularly, preferably after each mowing
  • Mow the grass, but do not cut more than two-thirds of the leaf surface
  • Take the mown grass to the compost heap
  • Do not forget watering, preferably in the mornings or evenings, to pervent excessive evaporation
  • Aerate the lawn using a special rake

August

  • The end of August is the best time for setting up a new lawn. Make sure it is sufficiently watered and a correct grass mixture is used
  • Add fertilizer regularly, preferably after each mowing
  • Mow the grass, but do not cut more than two-thirds of the leaf surface
  • Take the mown grass to the compost heap
  • Do not forget watering, preferably in the mornings or evenings, to pervent excessive evaporation
  • If there are weeds (daisies, dandelions and other dicotyledonous weeds) – get rid of them

September

  • Almost the whole of September is suitable for setting up a new lawn
  • Add fertilizer regularly, preferably after each mowing
  • Mow the grass, but do not cut more than two-thirds of the leaf surface
  • Take the mown grass to the compost heap
  • Do not forget watering, preferably in the mornings or evenings, to pervent excessive evaporation
  • If there are weeds (daisies, dandelions and other dicotyledonous weeds) – get rid of them

October

  • Add fertilizer regularly, preferably after each mowing
  • Mow the grass, but do not cut more than two-thirds of the leaf surface
